Free live auction software · the centrepiece of the evening
Four lots, sold live from the stage
These showstoppers are held back from the silent auction and sold live by a professional auctioneer, with the whole room watching. Can’t be there in person? Place a holding bid below, your safety net if you can’t make the room on the night.
The live sale starts at 9:45pm tonight, right after the silent auction closes.

Called by a professional
Our auctioneer reads the room, builds momentum and knows exactly when to bring the hammer down.
A handful of lots, not fifty
We keep the live sale short and sharp, just these four genuine showstoppers, run at pace.
Every bid counts twice
The energy from the live sale carries straight into the pledge drive that follows it.
What’s a holding bid?
A holding bid is a safety net, not a live proxy war. Set the amount you’re comfortable with, and it becomes the starting reference point for the room on the night, if you can’t be there, you won’t simply miss out. But the real sale happens live: our auctioneer works the floor, and the final price is whatever the room decides in the moment, not necessarily the highest holding bid online.
Want more lots, with full proxy bidding and a live countdown? Browse our Silent Auction, which stays open right through the evening.
Live auction vs silent auction, which is right for your lots?
Not every lot suits the same sale. A handful of genuine showstoppers, a villa week, a once-in-a-lifetime experience, do best sold live, where a professional auctioneer can build momentum and coax the room toward the true value of the item. Everything else does better in a silent auction, open all evening so every guest gets a fair, unhurried chance to bid.
This free live auction software runs both side by side from the same platform, so lots can move between the two lists as your event takes shape, see how the whole platform fits together.
Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between a holding bid and a normal bid?
A normal (silent auction) bid competes automatically against other bidders up to your maximum. A holding bid doesn’t, it simply registers your interest and the amount you’re comfortable with, as a safety net in case you can’t be in the room when the lot is sold live.
Can the live sale price be different from the highest holding bid?
Yes. The real sale happens live, on the night, the auctioneer works the floor, and the room can (and often does) take the price higher than any holding bid placed online in advance.
